Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. At all. The Day21 | Bulk Social Media Downloader extension ("the extension") has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no servers of ours involved in its operation. Everything the extension does happens locally, inside your browser, on your device.

What the extension does with data

The extension helps you download photos and videos from pages you are already viewing on most major social platforms. To do that, it:

• Reads the page you are on, locally. Media detection runs inside your browser tab. Nothing it reads is sent to us — we have nowhere to send it.
• Fetches media from the platform, directly. Downloads travel straight from the platform's own servers to your device, using your existing browser session. No proxy, no middleman.
• Stores your settings in your browser. Preferences (quality, naming rules, shortcuts, language) and housekeeping data (which files were already downloaded, where a paused collection stopped) are kept in your browser's local extension storage on your device. They never leave it.

What we never do

• No accounts or sign-in of any kind.
• No analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or crash reporting.
• No collection of browsing history, credentials, messages, or personal information.
• No selling, sharing, or monetizing of data — we hold none to begin with.
• No remote configuration or code loaded from our servers — the extension ships complete.

The optional webhook feature

You can optionally configure the extension to send download-progress events (such as "task completed" and the related file names) to an HTTPS endpoint that you choose and control. This feature is off by default. When enabled, events go directly from your browser to your endpoint. We do not operate, see, or have access to that endpoint or its data.

Browser permissions, explained

• Site access (on demand). The extension installs with no access to any website. It requests access to a site only when you first use it there, and you can revoke that access at any time in your browser's extension settings.
• Downloads. Used to save files through your browser's download manager and to reveal saved files in your file manager when you ask.
• Storage. Used to keep your settings and download bookkeeping on your device. The "unlimited storage" variant only raises the local quota for large collections; it does not change where data lives.
• Context menus and scripting. Used to add the right-click download entry and to run the extension's interface on sites you have granted.
• Toolbar and tab state. The extension checks, locally, whether the current site is one you granted, so it can switch its toolbar icon between active and inactive. Invoking the extension on the current tab gives it temporary access to that tab only.
• Network rules. On granted sites only, the extension adjusts certain page security headers so its own interface can load there. It never reads, records, redirects, or injects anything into your other traffic.

This website

This website (www.day21.dev) sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and all assets are served from our own origin. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) as any web host must in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse; we run no analytics code and see only aggregate, non-identifying traffic counts.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data that an organization holds about you. We hold none: there is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete. Data the extension stores locally can be removed at any time by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling it.

Children

The extension and this website are not directed at children and, as described above, collect no data from anyone — including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. A change will never retroactively grant us rights over data — we do not collect any.
