1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Day21 - Unseen browser extension ("the extension") and this website, published by Day21 ("we", "us"). By installing or using the extension, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live in order to use it.
2. What the extension is
The extension changes what your own browser sends: on the sites you enable, it holds back read receipts, typing indicators, view records for 24-hour posts, and online status, according to the switches you choose. It runs locally, is currently free to install and use, and does not require an account.
The extension does not post, send messages, follow, like, or interact on your behalf, and it does not change anything other people see except the signals listed above.
3. Platform terms
The extension works on websites operated by third parties. Your use of those websites remains governed by their own terms of service and policies, and you agree to use the extension only in ways those terms allow.
We are an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any social platform, and nothing about the extension implies otherwise. All platform names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. How holding back works, and its limits
The extension stops a signal only when your browser is about to send it, and only while the matching switch is on. It cannot guarantee that the other person never learns you have read or seen something. In particular:
- On two of the supported sites, replying to a message can still mark the chat as read, because sending a message tells the other person you have seen it.
- On the third site, messages you read while the switch is on stay unread for the other person. The extension does not send those read receipts later; the site marks them as read the next time you open a newer message with the switch off.
- Sites change their pages often. A protection may stop working without warning until we update the extension. The popup shows whether each protection is active on the page you are on.
- Another extension that takes over the same parts of a page can stop this one from working there. The popup tells you when this happens.
You can pause the extension, turn any switch off, or disable a site at any time.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for your own use. You may not resell the extension or misrepresent its origin. The extension and this website, including their design and code, remain our property.
6. No warranty
The extension and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Features may stop working at any time without notice when platforms change.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the extension or this website. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the extension — which, for a free product, is zero. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
8. Changes to the extension and these terms
The extension's features and pricing may change over time. We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with an updated effective date; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We may discontinue the extension at any time.
9. Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend the license in section 5 if you breach these Terms.
10. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at day21dev2026@gmail.com — we make a genuine effort to resolve issues informally. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York State, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the extension and this website.
